|
| SAWs has reached a milestone, building their 3,000th ramp on August 14, 2021. To mark this event, SAWs has partnered with Rehab Medical to support our efforts to raise $30,000 to help us build our next 3,000 ramps. Earlier this month, the first press release was published announcing details of the campaign and partnership. |

Why I Support SAWs By Rob French I wanted to share just a few of the reasons why SAW’s holds and will always hold a special place in my heart. First and foremost SAW’s is a God centered organization. All throughout the Bible we're told to care for the less fortunate. Jesus’ teachings in particular tell us that we should not only be aware of but to actively reach out and help those in need; SAW’s does just that. They do this by not only providing ramps for those in need of help with regard to accessibility but also by providing opportunities for volunteers to experience firsthand the joy of helping others. |

What's Happening in the Hubs Collaboration between SAWs St. Joseph County and SAWs Lake County Recently, the SAWs St. Joseph team installed a ramp for thirteen-year-old Giuliana, who suffered from a spinal cord injury when her family’s vehicle was hit head-on by a drunk driver and is now confined to a wheelchair. Giuliana’s mother struggled to get her in and out of the home even when using the front door. SAWs St. Joseph County and Lake County teams worked together to free Giuliana from her home. Volunteer Spotlight: Chuck Rushmore Our SAWs volunteers are the most committed, energetic, wonderful people that can be imagined. We would love to do a piece on every one of them. Unfortunately, our space and budget are limited. So, we plan to highlight a volunteer in each newsletter to share with everyone the kind of individuals who bless our mission. Meet Chuck Rushmore. Chuck has been serving SAWs for the better part of 5 years. Chuck works with the Indianapolis Metro Group as a Project Manager but also helps run the weekly prefab work done at the SAWs office. |

Corporate Team Builds Several years ago, SAWs launched a Corporate Team Build program. Through this program, companies work with SAWs to construct a ramp with their employees. Within a five-hour time span, employees can use their hands, learn new skills, work together as a team, and complete a ramp that will change the life of the client. The feedback from this program has been amazing! |
